“So, what are you going to do after you retire from the military?” It’s so common that I need to form my elevator pitch so people know exactly what I’m going to do. You never know who’s going to be able to help.
I recently opened a LinkedIn group of fellow transitioning military members to share ideas, lessons learned, and resources. The group, which will meet for seven weeks, quickly filled as I sent out personal invitations to friends and LinkedIn connections. I also reached out to members of the 48Days.net community that I’d met in the Veteran’s Group. I used the graphic of the survivor popping smoke because I believe that we have the resilience that we need to not just survive transition but to excel.
